On the Wing

My bean was taking pictures again yesterday. I like these birds, but I think they are a bit too big to catch. They hang out in the cornfield and look for spilled corn. It is cool when the fly overhead, because they make a "whooshing" sound from their wings beating.

What kind of birds are near you?

  1. We have lots of sparrows and a couple of blackbirds who like to come and sit on the roof next door to us. A big tui bird often sits in the tree opposite our house, and sings to us in the morning (he isn't there today though).

  3. I reckon those birds are about as big as you are Danielle. I have horrible myna birds and magpies here. They taunt me.

  4. WOW what are those birds?

We have red kites where we live. They're a rare bird of prey, far to big and scary to catch!

  5. Wow those are cool birds! We have ducks and sometimes geese by us, because we have a creek behind our house. There are small birds too, but I am not sure of the name. I know that our area has cardinals and blue jays but I never see them by our house (used to at my dad's all the time - the kitties thought the blue jays were cool because they are big).
