No costumes, please!

This is what happened when my human bean tried to make me wear a costume for the contest the Casbah Kitten is having. Um, I hate to rain on your parade, Human, but I not a dressy girl. That goes for hats, too. In this picture, the bean is actually holding the hat above my head. Otherwise, I would move my head forward and drop it on the floor.

Do you torerate costumes?

  1. Daddy has made it very clear that costumes for us are forbidden... but I reckon we'd like them!!!

  3. Our mum doesn't dress us. She feels our beautiful fur is quite lovely enough. She always feels sorry when she sees a pet all dressed in clothing and it is very hot out. She feels its probably ok for coats in cold climate.
Our vet carried a few items of pet clothing and mum told him how disappointed she was with him.
Other folks said the same thing. The pet clothing went away.

  4. That's a very cute hat. We don't do costumes either. Luckily you can enter the contest with just a funny picture without a costume. Yay!

  7. I don't do costumes. A ribbon at christmas is nearly more than I can handle.

  8. This is why our mum bean won't be entering us into the competition. That and she likes her limbs where they are now!

  9. Ok, first I have to post that Virgil is really mad at me for not getting over here sooner to tell you how cute you look but he is cutting me some slack because I have good excuses. I want to say that I also think you look cute with a hat on.

Now, as far as costumes - do I dress the cats us - yes, I have done it (last Christmas and then this year I am trying for Halloween). Do they really tolerate it - well, for the most part that is about all they do - the older cats are much more tolerant than the youngins (Virgil and Barney). Virgil would like to have me add that he hopes you don't think less of him for not escaping from the costumes evil clutches. And I have to admit that I make sure that the velcro is totally secure before I let them go. If you look at his Christmas picture you will see one of the few good shots - because he was flailing the whole time and I got lucky.

  11. Skeeter and King want NO part of costumes. Mom's been coaxing Pandora into allowing them, just not long enuff for a photo shoot (yet...)

  12. I already have a bootiful fur coat so I don't feel the need to dress it up any further!
